WHEN 39 phone calls came into the London Fire Brigade Control Centre, it was clear that the fire was serious.
A fire in a flat in a block on Loddiges Road, Hackney, was the problem. Firefighters came from Homerton, Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and other fire stations to tackle the blaze.
The first call came into the Control Room just before 7.30pm on Sunday, 4th October. The fire was pronounced under control just after 8pm.
The fire damaged most of the four-bedroomed flat. The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police are investigating the cause of the fire. Thanks once more to London’s firefighters for keeping the community safe.
